Terms & Community Rules
Last updated: 29 July 2026
Stub lets you track the shows and films you watch, and — if you want to — share that with other people through comments, lists and a public profile. By creating an account or using Stub you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Stub.
What you may not post
Everything you write, upload or name in Stub — comments, replies, photos, list titles, your display name and your profile — must stay clear of:
- Hate speech, slurs, or attacks on people because of who they are
- Harassment, bullying, stalking, or threats of any kind
- Sexual content, and anything at all involving minors
- Graphic violence, or encouraging people to harm themselves or others
- Illegal material, or promoting illegal acts
- Spam, scams, impersonating someone else, or sharing another person's private details
- Anything you don't have the right to post
Reporting content or a person
Every comment in Stub has a ⋯ menu with Report. Public profiles have the same menu. Pick a reason and it reaches us straight away.
We review every report within 24 hours. A comment that several people report is hidden automatically while we look at it. If you'd rather write to us, email info@getstub.tv — include a screenshot or the username and we'll pick it up the same way.
Blocking someone
You can block any Stub user from the ⋯ menu on their profile or on one of their comments. Blocking works both ways: you stop seeing their comments, lists and profile, they stop seeing yours, and you both stop following each other. You can undo it any time under Settings → Blocked people.
What we do about it
- We filter obvious abusive language when a comment is posted
- Reported content is reviewed within 24 hours, and removed if it breaks these rules
- Content reported by several people is hidden immediately, pending review
- Repeat offenders lose access to commenting, or their account entirely
Your account
You sign in with your email address; keep access to it, because it is how you get back in. You're responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete your account and everything in it at any time from Settings → Delete account in the app.
Your content
What you post stays yours. You give us permission to store and display it inside Stub so the app can do its job — nothing more. Delete a comment, a list or your account and it goes.
Ending things
You can stop using Stub whenever you like. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these rules, or that we need to remove to keep other people safe.
Availability
We work to keep Stub running and your data safe, but the service is provided as it is. Show and film information comes from TMDB and other third parties, and can be incomplete or wrong. Keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose.
Changes
If these terms change, we update this page and the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use Stub after a change means you accept it.
