Stub started in 2026, when millions of people lost their watch history overnight after TV Time shut down. We built a place where those years of viewing — shows, films, ratings — are safe and stay yours.
A father & daughter story
Stub is a family thing. Elio is a dad who loves building software; his daughter Chiara lives for series and films. When TV Time announced it was shutting down — taking years of her watch history with it — she was gutted, and asked: “Can’t you just build something?” So he did. The first version was live within three days.
Chiara has been Stub’s toughest tester ever since: every screen, every checkmark and every list goes through her hands before it reaches you.
But keeping your history is only the start. That history is exactly what makes good suggestions possible: Stub looks at what you watched — genres, shows, how much of them — and uses that to suggest what to watch next. Personal, not popular.
Stub is small, fast, and made by a tiny team from the Netherlands. No ads between your episodes, no endless feed — just your shows, your films and your next great watch.
